Upcoming Shows,Workshops and Classes

Hi! Big News…

I currently have a solo show up of the work I’ve done in the last 7- 8 years. 50 pieces hung in a way that showcases the different types of work I’ve been doing.

Of course there is the Loose Realism that I’ve been doing for years. I have an area devoted to my Plein Air painting including my plein air easel, pack and partial painting along with a magazine article and picture of me working on said painting.

And recently I have taught myself to paint in Gouache. I do some paintings in my studio but it is so unbelievably easy to travel with gouache. In fact, I painted all over Alberta, Canada on our 10 day trip for with just my gouache.

Finally, I have taken up Abstract painting once again. I did this partly because I get restless; I have to stay experimenting and trying new mediums And as a way to do some big bold action painting to excise the horrors this administration has dumped daily on We The People. There are Easter Eggs in many of the abstract pieces. The titles are important as well.

How To Paint More Loosely with Oil by Georgia Nagle

This is a four-week course! On Tuesdays from 10AM to 1PM

Throughout my years teaching it's the same refrain “I want to paint looser.” I get it. I work in a more painterly style now but I didn’t always. In this class we’re going to loosen up our oil painting technique. I can teach you to paint like you’re conducting a symphony instead of painting like you’re writing a symphony on the head of a pin. There are many methods to do this and I’ve used them all with success. And I will show you how, too. We’re going to launch right into it. I will do demos and I will help you from day one.

I will be teaching Beginning Oil Painting and Intermediate Oil Painting this Summer, 2026. Beginning Class meets for 10 weeks on Mondays, from 10:00am-1:00pm. The Intermediate Class meets Wednesdays, from 10:00am- 1:00pm. Oil painting is a very versatile medium and very popular. I have taught these classes for more than 7 years. I enjoy oil for its radiance and ease of use. Many who have not used oil before are leary, so my class is perfect as I will breakdown all of its properties and teach so that you may grow to love it as well.

GOUACHE WORKSHOP

INSTRUCTOR GEORGIA NAGLE

AT BINDERS ART (link below)

When I travel and I want to paint, I bring along my gouache. I paint with gouache in my car, on a friend’s porch, and when making a small painting en plein air to make into a larger painting in the studio. It is essentially opaque watercolor - easy to set up and take down and all you need is water.
